The Sheraton Maui
This resort occupies 23 acres on a prime stretch of
beach around Kaanapali's Black Rock. The famous lava landmark is the scene
of a nightly torch-lighting ritual and traditional cliff dive.
Romantic travelers and families seeking relaxation
without crowding come to this 23-acre resort, with its closely trimmed lawns
and soaring palm trees. Guests have access to a large beach, and the
grounds--a great choice for moonlight walks--include a lagoon pool of
grotto-like channels and swimming areas.

This 510-room resort covers 23 acres, offering swimming off the beach, and snorkeling in the waters next to Black Rock. Arriving hotel guests are greeted with leis. Health-and-beauty treatments are offered at a day spa.
KeKeiki Kamp provides a variety of daily activities for children ages 5–12. Half-day, full-day, and evening programs are available.

Guests staying at one of the four Sheraton Hotels in Waikiki can sign charges to their room for dining, shows, and entertainment at any of the properties. A health-and-beauty spa offers beachside massage and other treatments, and there are fitness and business centers, as well as shops. Each evening, guests gather on the beach and near the pool to watch the lighting of tiki torches accompanied by live Hawaiian music by the pool. At the culmination of the ceremony, the torch-bearer dives from Black Rock.
The 510 guestrooms have private lanais with ocean, partial ocean, garden, or mountain views. All rooms are air-conditioned.

Snorkel sets, boogie boards, aqua eyes (boogie boards with inset face masks), scuba gear, kayaks, ocean rafts, small catamarans, beach umbrellas, and padded beach lounges with adjustable shades can be rented on Kaanapali Beach. From the beach, catamarans offer whale-watching trips during winter and snorkeling and scuba excursions, as well as dinner cruises year-round. Two public, tournament-grade golf courses lie across the street from the hotel, and there are three other courses at Kapalua seven miles north. The resort contains one of three public tennis centers in Kaanapali.
